Please reach out to a wildlife Rehabber. It should go to a rehab so they can evaluate it. It’s a house finch. They are cold hardy, so there could be an underlying reason why it ended up u see the snow. It needs to be kept in a warm, dark place - a small box with air holes lined with paper towels.

It may have suffered a window collision. I live in an area where snowfall is rare, but last year we received a few inches and we had two collisions on our patio door wall. One fatal. We’ve since put stickers on the window. Seems like the reflected brightness of the snow is a problem.

Typically they either have an injured wing or are just dehydrated. When dehydrated, birds become incredibly docile and sleepy. The rescue centers will give them liquid injections to get them back on their feet quickly. ^^

Your local bird sanctuary, is trained in caring for these sweeties. Call them. That’s what I did after a very tiny bird flew into the sliding glass door, so hard, he was out cold. They told me he will be nursed, then released, and he will fly back, to his mate. He did. He comes to visit me, now.🐦⬛
gzurcher.bsky.social
Use a shallow lid for the water. Unsalted sunflower seeds are a likely food. Most birds that come to my yard eat those. How deep was the snow? If it was only a couple of inches, the bird might be sick. Several feet can make so birds cannot find food. Bird Sanctuary/Rescue organization , good 👍

He has his feathers so I don't think it's a baby. I would put him in a bird cage, at least for now. Wild bird food and water. I had an English Sparrow that had no feathers that I feed baby food with an eye dropper. He lived for about 5 years. A second one I released.
